On the morning of September 1, 2026, local time, Peng Liyuan, wife of President Xi Jinping, attended a collective event for spouses at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit 2026 hosted by Aigul Japarova, wife of Kyrgyz President, in Bishkek.

Upon Peng Liyuan’s arrival at Ala Archa State Guest House, Aigul Japarova gave her a warm welcome. Peng Liyuan, together with the spouses of leaders of relevant countries, visited an exhibition of Kyrgyz national culture and posed for a group photo. They then watched an artistic performance at Enesai State Residence. Peng Liyuan said that the performance was splendid and the artists demonstrated superb craftsmanship. She welcomed Kyrgyz artists to stage more performances and conduct more exchanges in China, enabling Chinese audiences to experience the rich and diverse national culture of Kyrgyzstan at close quarters.
