Minister Wu Xi attends founding ceremony of ACRA DC Regional Chapter

Minister Wu Xi attended the founding ceremony of the American Chinese Restaurant Alliance (ACRA) Washington DC Regional Chapter and the ceremony of the Alliance Headquarter relocation at the Rayburn building of the US Congress on March 24, 2015.

On behalf of Ambassador Cui Tiankai, Minister Wu extended her congratulations on the founding of the DC Regional Chapter and the relocation of the Alliance headquarter. She mentioned the importance of food culture in the long history of China and its influence on the Chinese people.

Minister Wu noted that the Chinese food has gained popularity among the American people since it was introduced to the US 160 years ago and has become an important bond bringing the two peoples closer.

Minister Wu thanked the Chinese Community for their relentless efforts and contribution to the mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples, and wished the Chinese restaurants in the US good fortune and the ACRA greater success.
