Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission Deng Hongbo met with Mr. William Owens, former Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the United States and Managing Director of AEA Investors in Hong Kong at the Chinese Embassy on May 17, 2011. Minister Deng briefed Mr. Owens on the current state of China-US relations. Minister Deng and Mr. Owens exchanged views on how to further strengthen mutual understanding and enhance the mutually beneficial and win-win economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.
