Minister Li Kexin Received Delegation from
the World Affairs Council of the U.S.A

On April, 28, Minister Li kexin met at the Embassy with about 40 members from the World Affairs Council (WAC) of the U.S., as part of the program of WAC's annual "Inside Washington" event. During the discussion, Minister Li reviewed the history of the China-US relations, highlighted the outcomes of the Mar-a-Lago Summit, and emphasized that as the China-US relations at a new historical starting point, both sides should commit themselves to implementing the consensus reached by our two presidents, particularly to hosting the Diplomatic and Security Dialogue, the Comprehensive Economic Dialogue, the Law Enforcement and Cyber Security Dialogue, and the Social and People-to-People Dialogue and working for fruitful outcome. By further enhancing our mutual trust and pragmatic cooperation, new momentum will be injected to our relations and we can make new contribution to world peace and prosperity.

 

Minister Li also answered questions raised by the audience regarding the North Korean nuclear issue, South China Sea, Taiwan, the "One Belt and One Road" Initiative, development of the Asia Pacific Free Trade Zone, Climate Change and China-Russia relations.
