Ambassador Qin Gang Meets with President of the Kennedy Center and Chinese Pianist Lang Lang

On September 17, 2021, Ambassador Qin Gang met with Ms. Deborah Rutter, President of the Kennedy Center, Ms. Alicia Adams, Vice President of the Kennedy Center, Mr. Gary Ginstling, Executive Director of the National Symphony Orchestra (NSO), and Chinese Pianist Lang Lang.

Ambassador Qin spoke highly of the Kennedy Center, the NSO and Lang Lang for making outstanding contribution to China-U.S. cultural cooperation. He underlined the important role of cultural and people-to-people exchanges in developing a sound and stable China-U.S. relationship. He hoped that the Kennedy Center and the NSO will stay committed to the mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples and create more positive energy for the growth of bilateral relations. The Ambassador also wished Lang Lang's performance at the Kennedy Center on September 18 a huge success.

Ms. Rutter and other guests said that the Kennedy Center and the NSO would continue their cultural collaboration with China and further strengthen the mutual learning and exchanges between the two countries.
