Ambassador Cui Tiankai Arrives in Washington DC

Ambassador Cui Tiankai, the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the United States of America, arrived in Washington, D.C. On April 2, 2013 to assume office.

   

Ambassador Cui was greeted by representatives from the U.S. State Department and diplomats from the Chinese Embassy.

Ambassador Cui served as Vice Foreign Minister from 2010 to 2013, and prior to that, he served as the Chinese Ambassador to Japan.

Ambassador Cui is the tenth Chinese Ambassador to United States. His predecessor, Ambassador Zhang Yesui, completed his tenure and returned to China on Feberary 24.
