On February 27, 2026, the Chinese Embassy in the United States held a workshop for young Chinese diplomats and students of the International Leadership of Texas. Minister Tang Zhiwen participated and delivered remarks. Minister Counselor for education affairs Shen Xuesong attended.

Minister Tang introduced the Chinese modernization, China’s foreign policy and China-U.S. relations, and pointed out that China is committed to high-quality development and high-level opening-up, striving to realize the common prosperity for all. China adheres to the path of peaceful development, firmly pursues an independent foreign policy of peace, and advances the building of a community with a shared future for mankind. China and the United States should be partners and friends, and the two countries should follow the principles of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and win-win cooperation. Minister Tang encouraged American students to keep learning Chinese well, to gain a deeper understanding of the profound ideas and philosophies embedded in China’s outstanding traditional culture, and seize the opportunity to visit China in person to see, feel and experience it for themselves.

Young diplomats from the Embassy exchanged the views with American students on the common interested issues, such as the China-U.S. relations, in an open and warm atmosphere.
