On June 2, 2026, Chinese Ambassador to the United States Xie Feng hosted a roundtable with senior executives from multinational corporations. Representatives from Blackstone, Google, Microsoft, IBM, Texas Instruments, Honeywell, Bayer, Johnson & Johnson, ConocoPhillips, Chevron, Walt Disney and Procter & Gamble attended the meeting.
Ambassador Xie briefed the attendees on the outcomes of the recent China-U.S. summit in Beijing between President Xi Jinping and President Donald Trump. Ambassador Xie stressed that the two presidents agreed on a new vision of building a constructive China-U.S. relationship of strategic stability, providing strategic guidance for bilateral relations over the next three years and beyond. Ambassador Xie encouraged the business community to take concrete actions to deliver on the important common understandings reached between the two presidents, broaden the scope of China-U.S. economic and trade cooperation, and deliver more practical outcomes that benefit peoples of both countries and the wider world.
Business leaders welcomed the new vision of building a constructive China-U.S. relationship of strategic stability, noting that it helps foster a more predictable and stable environment for business operations. They expressed confidence in China’s economic prospects and looked forward to expanding investment and cooperation with China.
