Chinese Xinjiang art troupe premieres in Myanmar capital

NAY PYI TAW, Dec. 30 (Xinhua) -- The art troupe of China's Xinjiang staged its first performance at the International Convention Center in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar's capital, Sunday evening, winning audiences' wave of good applause.

Myanmar Vice President U Nyan Tun and Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Li Junhua watched the show presented under the two countries' cultural exchange program.

The Xinjiang art troupe performed its nationalities' songs and dances and the performance was joined by Myanmar artists.

The Xinjiang art troupe will proceed to Yangon after its show in the capital and continue to stage performance at the National Theater in the former capital Tuesday.
