WASHINGTON, D.C. (April 25, 2024) — On May 4, the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the United States is to join over 50 embassies in the Around the World Embassy Tour that begins at 10 a.m.
This year marks the fourth time for the Chinese Embassy to participate in the Passport D.C. event. The open house this year, themed as “Refreshing Fujian: Starting Point of the Maritime Silk Road”, features China’s southeastern province FUJIAN, famous for its UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Intangible Cultural Heritages and world-renowned tea.
Guests can expect a full experience of Chinese art and culture, a one-of-a-kind performance by artists from Fujian, as well as interactive cultural activities including calligraphy, floral headdress and glove puppetry. Guests will be able to take Fujian-style tourist photos with adorable panda mascots.
The Chinese food stand is a must-go, where you can enjoy delicious bites prepared by the embassy chefs.
The embassy building opens to the public at 10:00 a.m. A photo ID is required at the entrance. Guests are expected to kindly observe the security policy of the embassy.
