New Chinese Ambassador to the United States Xie Feng: Ready to Work with People from All Walks of Life in the United States to Contribute to China-U.S. Relations with Insights and Actions as well as Courage and Grit

    Xie Feng, the new Chinese Ambassador to the United States arrived to assume office on May 23. He had interactions with the Chinese and foreign media and people from various sectors present at the JFK airport.

    Ambassador Xie Feng said that it had been 13 years since he last worked in the United States. Over the past 13 years, the world has gone through great changes, and so has the United States. The new ambassador said, “During my posting, I look forward to engaging extensively with the American people from all walks of life, observing and learning about the country at a close distance, and exploring ways to deepen exchanges and cooperation. I also look forward to making friends with the media and people from other sectors. Let us work together to contribute to China-U.S. relations with insights and actions as well as courage and grit.”
